Application Form: Madhadhuveni 4.0 - Youth Climate Innovation Challenge
The Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC), in partnership with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and with support from the Italian Red Cross, is implementing the Youth-Led Urban Resilience and Climate Action Project. MRC is bringing this project together with Madhadhuveni, the flagship youth volunteer initiative of the Kulhudhuffushi City Unit, to deliver “Madhadhuveni 4.0 – Youth Climate Innovation Challenge”, a four-day residential camp that brings together young people to develop practical, community-based climate solutions for their islands. Madhadhuveni 4.0 is an initiative of MRC’s Youth Network, led by the youth of MRC Kulhudhuffushi City Unit and supported by the National Youth Council. Through this camp, participants will gain an understanding of climate and urban resilience in the Maldivian context, skills in innovation, problem-solving, and community-based solution design, experience in teamwork, leadership, and peer collaboration, exposure to mentors and experts working in climate action and practical skills in developing and pitching project ideas The camp will take place from 22nd–25th July 2026 in Kulhudhuffushi City. ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be aged 16–25 and currently residing in Haa Alif, Haa Dhaalu, or Shaviyani Atolls. Submit your applications by 2PM, 5th July 2026. *Please note that participants under the age of 18 will require parental/guardian consent and must submit a signed consent form if selected. MRC will make all necessary arrangements (travel, accommodation, etc.) for selected participants from Haa Alif, Haa Dhaalu, and Shaviyani Atolls who are not based in Kulhudhuffushi City. Release letters will be provided to participants upon request once the selection process is complete.*
