The relief fund was opened from 07th – 14th February 2023, and has raised a total of MVR 2,990,618.91 in 07 days.
Donations collected through the Türkiye and Syria Relief will support the CHF 200 million international appeal released by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to provide humanitarian assistance to those affected by the Türkiye and Syria earthquakes.
Fundraising activities for the Türkiye and Syria Relief was carried out across the country and funds were collected through direct bank transfer and by placing fund boxes in Kulhudhuffushi City by MRC Kulhudhuffushi City Office on 11th February 2023 (between 1600hrs – 1800hrs) and in Greater Male’ Area by MRC Male’ City Office on 14th February 2023 (between 1000hrs – 1500hrs) which raised 22,219.56 MVR
