MRC has for the time being closed the Palestine Relief Fund for donations at the end of 12th November 2023, and is currently working on realizing the final committed funds by individuals and organizations. Announcement of the final amount of funds received is scheduled for 19th November 2023.
As previously announced, Maldivian Red Crescent initiated the transfer of funds received as of 28th October 2023. In this regard, a total of MVR 2,105,227.14 (USD 136,526) was transferred to Palestinian Red Crescent on 05th November 2023. The funds transferred will be utilized by Palestinian Red Crescent Society for the on-going response efforts and provision of critical humanitarian activities in accordance with their emergency appeal.
