The relief fund was opened from 07th – 14th February 2023, and raised a total of MVR 2,993,048.91 (USD 194,101.74) in 07 days.
On 4th April 2023, Maldivian Red Crescent completed the transfer of funds to Syrian Arab Red Crescent and Türkiye Red Crescent. A total of USD 97,050.87 were transferred to Syrian Arab Red Crescent and USD 97,050.87 to Türkiye Red Crescent (In total USD 194,101.74) in coordination with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). The funds transferred will be utilized by Syrian Arab Red Crescent and Türkiye Red Crescent for the on-going response efforts and provision of humanitarian activities carried out in Türkiye and Syria.
