The total funds raised for the MRC Palestine Relief Fund between 14th October 2023 – 12th November is MVR 7,396,662.56. As previously announced, Maldivian Red Crescent completed the first tranche of funds received up till 28th October 2023.
In this regard, a total of MVR 2,105,227.14 (USD 136,526) was transferred to Palestinian Red Crescent Society on 05th November 2023 and receipt of funds confirmed by Palestinian Red Crescent Society on 12th November 2023. With the closure of the fund on 12th November 2023, MRC has initiated the internal processes to fulfil the necessary requirements to transfer the balance amount of MVR 5,291,435.42 as the 2nd tranche of the funds received from 29th October - 12th November 2023.
