Team MRC participated in the inaugural IFRC First Aid World Cup regional qualifiers, represented by four dedicated volunteers from the MRC Malé City Unit. As part of the qualifiers, the team delivered a presentation on scenario-based first aid and resuscitation, developing a comprehensive emergency response plan centered on First aid for a hypothetical fire incident in Malé City.
The team has been actively working on the plan since December 2025, exploring innovative approaches to strengthening emergency preparedness and first aid awareness in the Maldives. The regional qualifier provided a valuable platform to showcase MRC's commitment to advancing First aid practice and to engage with peers from across the region.
