MRC, in partnership with Maldives Australia Awards Alumni, MNU Thinadhoo Campus, and the Faculty of Health Sciences, and supported by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through the Australia Awards Small Grants Programme, successfully delivered a three-day Supportive Communication Training and Practical Session in GDh. Thinadhoo.
A total of 21 participants completed the training, gaining essential knowledge and practical skills to safely provide support and care to those in distress. The sessions combined structured learning with practical application, equipping participants with the confidence and tools to respond meaningfully when members of their community need help.
MRC is proud to have supported this initiative and remains committed to strengthening community-based psychosocial support and mental health awareness, building local capacity to care for the most vulnerable and fostering more compassionate, resilient communities across the Maldives.
